Python2.5 + site-packages

Some useful python site-packages. Installation is very convenient with Macports. Just search for everything that is useful for you. I found the following python site-packages helpful. After installing python25 execute python_select to switch system python to Macports python version:
port install python25 python_select
python_select python25

port install py25-pil py25-numpy py25-matplotlib py25-django py25-readline py25-mysql
port install py25-cairo py25-dateutil py25-pypdf

Additional interesting ports:
port install xv gimp2 smartmontools
